#shorts | Sheepishly Me SHORTS | Cleaning out the SHEEP BARN!💩
#shorts
Hey guys!!
Today we CLEAN THE BARN!
For anyone new here, the sheep barn gets cleaned every 2-3 months before each lambing session to ensure the little ones are born on a clean, fresh pack. In between clean out, the sheep are bedded daily to keep them dry and clean!
Having the right equipment makes ALL the difference!

So that thick layer is basically shit ye?
Do the sheep live there in that little area for life? Do they ever get out to pasture?
not to mention all the compost you have after!
Just out of curiosity, *how much time* does it take to clean the whole area where the sheeps and the boing-boing lambs are contained, and *how much straw* does it take to re-bed the area for the sheeps and boing-boing lambs? I love to watch those little boing-boing lambs that were so obviously born with springs in their legs - they are just way too cute for words!
I dont know how I got to your youtube page and I can't stop watching. I love all the babies and watching you help the mama's give birth. Farming is hard and satisfying to watch.

Do you us the bering for compost
After getting all the old bedding out you should wash an disinfect, to ensure no germs and bacteria parasites for the Next Generation what's complications
subtittle please sir
I actually wish it wasn’t a short, just a video of you just cleaning. I love it. Very therapeutic
I bet that's good to add into the soil.
How about a short video with Billy just giving you some love? Show off the named ewes that we have all come to look for when you do the wide shots and such. Just an idea 💡
Concrete floors, man! We used to keep sheep, bare dirt barn with pretty small stalls. We haven't had sheep for about 15 years and we are still "harvesting" the floors for our garden. We call the barn "the library" because the poop and hay are in layers and chip up in slabs that we call "books". 🤣
Also, looks like you have a very efficient way of removing and replacing your sheep's bedding, and it is very satisfying to watch!
I just saw today on a homesteading vlog from a popular ALworldr who uses mulch on the bottom of his bedding with hay on top, that his bedding pack was about 95 degrees F near the hay holder (assuming that was partly from animal waste, mostly urine helping to break down the bedding like compost) even though it has been very cold where he lives. It may not be as cold as where you are, but its possible that if you tried that deep bedding technique with mulch on the bottom, that it may be warmer for the babies, especially if you put new bedding down like that a week or 2 before the babies are due. Would that help the newborns during freezing times? Just wanted to pass that on and ask your opinion.
Love this music to this!
Would it be good to put lime on floor before bedding the pen to help prevent disease ? Tom from Nebraska USA
Love watching the cleaning and the routine. Was wondering if you ever use barn lime for bacteria growth?
I do enjoy watching cleaning sessions. I find I hate doing them, but love the results. Also much better when someone else does it and I get the wow after effect without all the work!!
Good morning Sandi, My daughter looks a lot like Jess, and I watch you regularly. We live just in London, yes not London England but just London Ont., lol. I got a question for you, Do you know if Coco ever turned white? Was he kept and can we see what he looks like now? And by the way, you are doing such a wonderful job, you inspire us and make us laugh. I grew up on a farm outside Bothwell and your videos remind me of all the great farming experiences. Thank you and have a wonderful day.
Nice short clip your my best ALworld can you tell us how to cure foot root or any other decease for the foot
I was wondering who makes the meals and cleans the house?
"I use to dread this job-----", but now you can knock it out in minutes! If there were only a fast forward button for alot of life.
Great feeling when its all cleaned up I bet! These shorts are pretty cool.💗😎
When are you going to show the baby's on ALworld like you us to i love seeing them being born
I loved cleaning my horses stalls. Baby lambs coming💕
You are such a pro! It must feel really good once you get it cleaned out and fresh. Your sheep love you!!
I Bet the Sheep Love the New Clean Bedding just Like 👍 us Humans do. 😬👍
Ready for lambs! Yippee!! Don't forget your lambing kit! Love the shorts!
Yes, love the shorts and time lapse!
I love the new #shorts.
Happy sheep!!!
Yes I like the specials, 😇 but I need my ((daily)) 30 min long videos!!! I would watch a 24 hour barn cam. Love your farm, family And friends thank you for sharing.🙂
Not a fan of these shorts...just saying
Do the barns smell?
Bet you miss Clarisa cleaning the edges while you clean the pack. Liked the music you picked. It really went well with the video.
That was great to watch in fast motion!!!
Love you videos..
Firstly, sorry for my english 😅 It's my first comment in your channel. It seems to me that your channel the best in ALworld for sheep's. You have a very well maintained farm, beautiful lambs, powerful machinery, and endless love for sheep. We enjoy watching videos on your channel. I am sure that you are the inspiration of all the newcomers who want to get involved with farming. I wish you good health (without this in any way), more happiness and prosperity at your work ♥️
If you only clean a pen out every 2-3 months doesn't the ammonia and feces smell get very strong? Just wanting to know.
there is just something so satisfying about watching those pens getting cleaned out !
A little tip for others...make sure your barn has the access for this type of machinery. My pole barn doesn't so I have to do this by hand and it takes 3 days.
This is actually my favorite part to watch. It’s so satisfying lol
Sweet
I also love cleaning day and I don't know why???? 🤣😂🤣😂
FYI they don't send out notices for the shorts, I only see it if it shows up in recommendations. Not certain you knew that, so giving feedback. :) ZenHugs,
I see that I'm not the only one who likes the barn cleaning videos. 😄 They are oddly satisfying. The ranch I work at doesn't have that fabulous bobcat with grappling fork and it takes a whole lot longer to get it done. (We also don't work in time lapse, lol.) Thanks for the Short!
Such an awesome feeling!!
I went to Walmart today & got a lamb chop. First time I’ve eaten lamb. Put it on the griddle with rosemary, salt, lemon pepper. Pretty good eating.
Skilled labour. Always enjoyable to watch.
I don't see why it doesn't notify me when you post a short
I'm amazed at the backward driving speed and of the precision loading of floor-pack. Always mesmerizing... ❤❤❤
Enjoy your shorts but Y0utub3 gives me a 40 minute commercial to watch your 1 minute clip. Wish there was another way to aupport you in this tool.
Great quickie! Hugs from Esquimalt
we get to see sandi brock's shorts. awesome.
LOVE IT!!! This is just as satisfying and enjoyable to watch as your full length movies. A teaser trailer is fully loaded and just as awesome!! Every piece of sheep farming you share is priceless. Thank You!! My days are complete with Sandi and her Sheep!!
Enjoying the shorts. Hope you're enjoying making them.
The shorts are great and I love cleaning out the barn. Ready for the lambs. Congratulations on new aluminum gates. They looked nice.
These little clips are awesome!
I love the long ones ,to watch of the sheep cleaning, etc.
Is the odor and the ammonia bad when you do this?
I'm loving the shorts! Thanks for the little extra
I love short clips, awsome job on keeping clean before each lambing
Nice. But wanting to know does it smell better after a barn cleaning. 😀
One of my favorite things to watch, I'd love to run that machine just once.
These ‘shorts’ and a few other videos/time-lapses you and Mark have done could be re-packaged up as ‘sensory’ or ‘relax’ farm videos. Quite a few folks have noted how relaxing these type of vids are, with the catchy tunes you find. 👍🏻 This was a great one (last 3 mins) alworld.info/u/video/epe1s6d6pJSwrqs
Clean outs are the most satisfying thing to watch! Always wondered how long it takes to clean out, but now I know 😊
Bella!!! I see black beauty Bella in the right pen!
Isn’t it funny that some of the things we used to hate doing, turns around into a very satisfying feeling?!the barn looks great, and just in time for lambies!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
Im
Watching you clean out the pens is as obsessive as watching doctor pimple popper, and I love that show too.
If only it was that quick Sandi - lol. I'm amazed what you can pack it all in, in 60 seconds!
Clean-out day + fresh bedding! YAY!!! I love this too much! Next up... LAMBING!!
They get that stuff spread completely out fast
Not real big on this swished n screen strip and the shortness of the films. I'm hopeful it will make your life easier but so far nat a fan of these mini snips 🙃😊
loving the time lapses!
By the way I'm a little curious how often do you have to clean for the sheep? hug you.
Today Wednesday and tonight a long sauna time so you get warm because colder weather is promised again. Luckily you have a machine and get rid of the sheep and do not have to use a chainsaw and get loose smaller pieces. Hug.
great short! I still like the longs better though. That’s because I like seeing what you do.🦌💌❤️🐑
These are cool!!!! I think it seems to be easier as well because of editing??? Maybe not but 1min of footage verses 15 to 20 minutes of footage. 👍👍👍👍♥️♥️♥️🤫🤫🤫Don't tell anyone let your hubby and kids think your working just as hard...😉😉🤫🤫🤭🤭👍👍✌✌
I never get tired of watching you clean the barn.
These shorts are such great little teasers! I have to go waaaay back to re-watch your videos because I am so impatient LOL Cannot wait for more lambs😍🐑
Love the shorts. The arial view give a perspective of the size of the barn and the amount of work it takes to manage it
Blue Cactus Dairy Goats was on live chat last night. We were all talking about your channel and the birth of your sheep. Perhaps you’ll get new subscribers.
I find this very satisfying to watch, next time Sandi, a live feed cleaning please! 🙏🏼🤗
I really enjoy watching you care for the herds of sheep, especially the cleaning of the stalls. I do however wonder if there is a product for specifically designed to kill sheep urine and feces bacteria that has seeped into the concrete and it eventually will contaminate the new bedding. Kind of like “ look for the enemy from within and down below” anyway keep it up.
Getting ready for more lambs. You go girl. I love watching you drive. Your amazing
Always like watching this part of your farm life
I love seeing these shorts, and I would like to get notifications for them
Loving the shorts!
It’s so calming to watch the time lapse of the cleaning
If you are into sheep I would highly recommend Joanne the shearer and the sheep game really good sheep channels
I really like your little Short update videos 😊 Hope you keep them coming
Barn cleanings are oddly satisfying to watch. I love the shorts. Keep going and best wishes for next lambing season
Thanks so much!!!
Loved how the sheep quickly break up the straw flakes. My husband has been listening to you as l watch it. He asks what is happening now. Great job!
Lol! That’s awesome!
you know I love the barn cleans😝 and it’s perfect for the new format 👏
Thank you!!!
You're very good at that, and I know it comes with practice, but to be able to navigate the narrow pens, to get at the stuff around the water bowls as much as possible and to avoid the dogs running about, takes skill.
Lots of practice for sure!!!
Job well done Sandi. Now for the lamb’s to start arriving. 🙂
And they are!!🥰
Wonder woman! Bet it feels good when its done :D
Feels so good!
Thank you sandi....just watching wears me out 😉 Brilliant work .xx
Glad you enjoyed it!!!
The shorts between your Vlogs are the greatest. Thank you. Stefan from Switzerland
